Blue Jays Trust Their Voice

My blue jay messenger
is back in my birdbath.
Just there
within my view.
Hello.
What would you like me to share today, blue jay?
Blue jays
are
fearless messengers
and
invite me to be the same.
Trust the messages
that come through you.
Always
come
as you are.
Their loud
and
piercing call
reminds me
to not change
who I am
for the world.
Speak from the place
beneath thought
and
beneath fear.
Speak
where truth
resides.
A place where
words and messages
are
not rushed,
not forced,
but come
slow,
soft,
quiet,
and
are present
on the breath.
A
place
from the
depth,
where the
light gathers
before being
birthed
into
words.
I pause
between
breaths,
softening
the edges,
where what was
heavy
and
required
unknotting...
what
has been
tight...
asking
it to loosen
its
grip.
Trust
what I feel
before I share.
Holding
a message
until it has
softened.
I learned early
to listen,
to feel
and to wait
for the truth
to mature
and ripen
before
I spoke.
In the silence
and the
pause
I chose
discernment.
Some
thought
I was
late to
speaking.
Perhaps,
the
truth is...
I was
early
to
listening.
I chose
to hold
feelings
with
tenderness
and love
softening
with kindness
what I felt
before I shared...
when
the pain
in
the world
wanted
to be
answered
in
hardness.
I chose
differently.
I speak
and
write
when
enough
light
has
gathered
to bless
the
words and
messages
for whomever
receives
them.
I wait
for the
light
to gather
and
speak
when it's
full.
I bless
the messages
that arrive.
Light first
words after.

Aho is right! My favorite line:
"I learned early to listen, to feel and to wait for the truth to mature and ripen before I spoke."
